We’ve previously shared the exciting news about Copilot’s arrival on Azure, signaling a bright future for AI-powered integration work. Copilot is a versatile tool available across Azure, allowing you to get answers to your questions through a convenient chat interface, no matter where you are in the platform.
But did you know that Logic App Standard takes this a step further? It features a dedicated AI chat, the Workflow Assistant, designed specifically for the workflows you’re working on.
For example, we posed the same question to both Copilot and Workflow Assistant:
“Describe this workflow.”
Both provided answers, but with distinct outcomes. While Copilot struggled to deliver a correct description, the Workflow Assistant nailed it, offering a precise and relevant explanation of the workflow.
This distinction becomes even clearer in other scenarios. When we asked the Workflow Assistant how many virtual machines were running, it recognized that the question was outside its scope and seamlessly handed off the task to Copilot. With just a click on “Open Azure Copilot,” the same question was automatically transferred, and Copilot provided the correct answer.
In summary, these two tools complement each other perfectly. Copilot excels in leveraging the Azure Resource Graph to provide broad answers.
On the other hand, the Workflow Assistant is laser-focused on keeping your workflows on track.
Fingers crossed that Logic App Consumption will also receive these updates in the near future.
