We previously shared the exciting news about Copilot’s arrival on Azure, which points to a promising future for AI‑powered integration work. Copilot acts as a versatile assistant across Azure and lets you ask questions through a convenient chat interface, wherever you are in the platform.
However, Logic Apps Standard goes a step further. It includes a dedicated AI chat called the Workflow Assistant, which focuses specifically on the workflows you are building and working with.
For example, we posed the same question to both Copilot and Workflow Assistant:
“Describe this workflow.”
Both tools provided answers, but they produced very different results. Copilot struggled to deliver an accurate description. In contrast, the Workflow Assistant nailed it, providing a precise, relevant explanation of the workflow.

This distinction becomes even clearer in other scenarios. When we asked the Workflow Assistant how many virtual machines were running, it immediately recognized that the question was outside its scope. It then seamlessly handed the task over to Copilot. With a single click on Open Azure Copilot, the system transferred the same question, and Copilot returned the correct answer.

In summary, these two tools complement each other perfectly. Copilot excels in leveraging the Azure Resource Graph to provide broad answers.

📝 One-Minute Brief
Discover Azure Copilot and the Logic Apps Workflow Assistant and how these AI tools improve developer productivity and workflow design.
On the other hand, the Workflow Assistant is laser-focused on keeping your workflows on track.

Fingers crossed that Logic App Consumption will also receive these updates in the near future.
