The BizTalk Server and Microsoft Azure Portuguese Community is thrilled to announce that the Global Azure Bootcamp 2015 – Lisboa takes place tomorrow, April 25, at Microsoft Portugal. Between 9:00 AM and 7:30 PM, we will dive deep into the latest cloud innovations.
Building on a Legacy of Contribution
Reflecting on our history, DevScope participated in the second global bootcamp back in April 2014. This worldwide event spanned 138 locations, allowing participants to master Cloud Computing development. Furthermore, we were honored to lead two sessions in Lisbon during that incredible day.
Beyond the learning opportunities, the 2014 event featured a “huge global compute farm.” By leveraging processing time from participants worldwide, the bootcamp supported vital diabetes research.
Leading the Way in Portugal
Our team’s commitment to this research was significant. Specifically, we dedicated 159 virtual machines across five global Azure Datacenters. According to recent statistics, our overall effort accounted for 38% of all Portuguese contributions. While not all processing power was utilized, we are incredibly proud of the impact our community made.

In 2014, the event pooled a huge global compute farm to perform diabetes research. This year, everyone can participate in a massive computing pool to perform breast cancer research! And we at DevScope will try to increase our numbers!!
O que é o Global Azure Bootcamp?
O dia começa cedo, às 9h, e tem muitas sessões técnicas ao longo de todo o dia. Traz o teu portátil e aproveita para experimentar alguns dos desafios que temos para ti e colabora num projecto internacional de investigação do cancro da mama porque vamos criar uma farm a nível planetário para conseguir acelerar o processo de investigação.
O dia começa cedo, às 9h, e conta com uma agenda preenchida por diversas sessões técnicas. Contudo, o bootcamp não se limita apenas à teoria. Por isso, traz o teu portátil e prepara-te para:
- Experimentar desafios práticos em tempo real.
- Colaborar num projeto internacional de investigação do cancro da mama. Iremos criar uma “farm” a nível planetário para acelerar o processo de processamento de dados científicos.
Este tipo de evento irá ocorrer no dia 25 de abril em aproximadamente 184 cidades.
Sobre minha sessão…
A minha sessão será uma introdução às novas funcionalidades de integração existentes no Azure: Logic Apps and API Apps. E como podemos começar a utilizar estas novas funcionalidades que ainda se encontram em preview.
