  1. Hi there,

    Firstly, congratulations!

Secondly… you’ve got me interested myself now, although I only have limited hands-on experience (1 roll out, just completed, but it was fairly large).

How did you prepare for the exam? I’ve seen the rough list of what’s included on the MS site, and was planning on cross-referencing to MSDN, but I wondered if you had any tips or found any good study material.

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Thanks Tom.

You have a great post from Steef-Jan Wiggers: BizTalk Server 2010 Exam : How to prepare?
And I agree with the comments that he put in his post:
“It is more hands-on experienced type of exam. So if you have a number of intensive hands-on experiences under the belt with every aspect of BizTalk you will be fine.”

My preparation was based on my knowledge acquired from my work experience, books, MSDN and hand-on labs.

    1. Thanks Tavish,

You don’t necessary need 2 years of experience, of course the more experience you have, the easier it is for you to accomplish the certification, but you can be a rookie and try to take the exam, which I don’t advise the exam is complex and involves several issues.

As it is, and well, described on exam page:
“Candidates should have a solid understanding of fundamental BizTalk concepts around the core messaging engine and building business processes using orchestrations. Candidates will have some exposure to larger-scale multi-server solutions and deployment/management familiarity. This core knowledge is required for BizTalk 2006 R2, 2009, and 2010. In addition, core knowledge of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is also required.”

If you have this Skills then you will have easily in obtaining certification
