On September 17, 2025, alongside my partner Contica, we hosted our live webinar From BizTalk to Azure: Cloud Isn’t BizTalk – So Stop Thinking Like It. This is the second part of a series we will be doing, and once again, we had a lot of fun doing it! To be clear, the goal is for attendees to enjoy it and learn. Still, if we don’t enjoy delivering it, what’s the point?

The main question we addressed in that webinar was: Azure and Azure Integration Services aren’t BizTalk Server. We need to think differently because they are not the same. For example, replicating legacy solution patterns can introduce unnecessary complexity and risk. Stop saying lifting and shifting. Yes, some things are possible, but should we do it? That is an important question to ask yourself. This webinar demonstrates how to select Azure-native architectures that fit, avoid over-engineering, and transform BizTalk experience into more intelligent cloud designs.

If you are still relying on BizTalk Server but wondering how to make the leap to Azure Integration Services without losing sleep? Then this is for you. If you want to determine if it makes sense to stay with BizTalk Server, then this session is also for you. You’re not alone in this situation!

📝 One-Minute Brief

This webinar recording will address:

  • How to choose an integration architecture that fits your scenario, not someone else’s success story
  • Guidance on designing for Azure, not just recreating BizTalk patterns/li>
  • A simple checklist to sanity-check your architecture decisions before you build

This is our second of four webinars that we have planned (at least for now). The goal is to take you on a trip from BizTalk Server to Azure Integration Services migration.

If you missed the webinar or just want to recap what you saw, the recording is now online on YouTube here:

Hope you find this helpful! If you liked the content or found it useful and would like to help me write more, consider buying (or helping to buy) my son a Star Wars Lego set.
