Friday Fact: Variable Types Are Now Visible In The Logic Apps Designer

We recently talked about the introduction of the new feature that lets you define all your variables in a single action.

It’s clear that things are evolving quickly, and there’s still room for improvement. While the feature is great for cleaning up workflows and simplifying the logic, we noticed that the current UI makes it hard to read and understand the variables at a glance. Unless you give each variable a very descriptive name, it can be difficult to tell their types apart.

The good news is that this might be changing soon. A new update is possibly on the way for the Designer — this time focused on UI improvements. As shown in the image, the update makes it easy to identify variable types right away.

This will make it much easier to read your variables and distinguish them!

Nice to have:

One other thing I’ve noticed for a while is that every time you select an action, you’re immediately sent back to the designer, forcing you to click “Add an action” again to insert another one.

It would be much faster and more user-friendly if we could select multiple actions at once, instead of repeating the same steps over and over, because if you already have a workflow in your mind, you can bring it to life much faster.

I am sure we will see the light of day on this also.
