Exciting news, everyone—Copilot has finally arrived, and it’s now part of Azure! While it’s still in preview, we’ve already had the chance to explore some intriguing features that hint at what the future holds.
First things first, where can you find it? It’s prominently displayed, so you definitely won’t miss it!
Now, what can you do with it? When you click on Copilot, you’ll get a few suggestions right off the bat. For example:
- “How many virtual machines are running right now?”
The response you’ll receive is accurate and even includes the query used in the Azure Resource Graph. By clicking on it, you’ll be taken directly to the graph.
Or, if you ask how many VMs you have or request a list of all VMs, Copilot will provide a response along with an Azure Resource Graph query, which you can run directly within the chat.
Again, this will redirect you to the Azure Resource Graph, where you can dive deeper into the details.
Or ask for a list of all the disabled Logic Apps:
As you can see Copilot relies a lot on Azure Resource Graph queries to retrieve the desired information.
Off course as it still in preview it still has some limitations, while making simple questions:
Trusting that in other instance the response will be accurate.
By the way you can start a new chat just by click on the tree dots … and New Chat:
There’s still plenty of room for improvement, but this is a significant step forward in AI integration. The future might even bring customizable AI actions tailored to our specific needs.
