It was just over two years since I published the first release of my Visio stencils for BizTalk Server, and after many downloads, feedback, suggestions, and some complaints :)… I decided that it was time to make a new upgrade!
This time will be a major upgrade, apart from improving some of the existing shapes, removing several, and of course, adding new ones, for example, Cloud and Bridges. I also decided to use a more current design: metro style, similar to what happens with the appearance of new shapes in Visio 2013.
📝 One-Minute Brief
Visually representing complex BizTalk architectures just got easier. This preview showcases a collection of over 70 modern, flat-design Visio 2013 stencils specifically tailored for BizTalk Server 2013, Azure, and hybrid integration scenarios. These high-quality, resizable shapes cover everything from core BizTalk artifacts and out-of-the-box adapters to specialized icons for BizTalk360, BAM, and the Rule Engine.
Of course, I’m not doing it all from scratch (I’m not a designer), instead I’m reusing many of the things that already exist today and joining them.
So, if you want, now is the time to give your feedback and suggestion to what shapes you like to have… Take a look to the first scratch:

UPDATE: Here are some of the new shapes that will be available in the next version of Visio Stencils for BizTalk Server:
- Certificates
- Business Activity Monitoring
- Business Rules Engine
- BizTalk360 Server
- SMTP Server
- BizTalk Administration Console
- Web Server
- and Windows Azure BizTalk Virtual Machine

Hope you find this helpful! If you liked the content or found it useful and would like to support me in writing more, consider buying (or helping to buy) a Star Wars Lego set for my son.

Receive, Orchestration and Send-host icons would be great to have as well! Otherwise I love it! Espacially nice touch that you have BizTalk360 server in there! Good work.
Hi Joakim, first thanks for your comments!
All the elements to create ports there will be there: adapters, pipeline, transformations and filters.
Orchestration shape already existed in previous versions and will continue to exist in this new version with a new design
Does the stencil use Visio rules?
Hi John, I really don’t know because I’m not a Visio Expert, I only know the basic 🙂 .
I will glad if you want to validate them.
Looking forward to more!
I will try to add more shapes on it… I just need to find the time 🙂
