For any BizTalk developer, “it works on my machine” is only the first step. The real challenge often lies in deployment and lifecycle management. To help you master these skills, Microsoft has released a new MSDN Virtual Lab: Deploying and Managing BizTalk Applications, available here: BizTalk Server 2010: Deploying and Managing BizTalk Applications

📝 One-Minute Brief

Microsoft has released a new MSDN Virtual Lab: “BizTalk Server 2010: Deploying and Managing BizTalk Applications.” This lab offers hands-on experience in essential tasks like assigning strong names to assemblies, configuring deployment properties, managing ports via binding files, and using MSI packages and BTSTask for application lifecycle management. It is a risk-free environment to master the logistical side of BizTalk development.

After completing this lab, you will be better able to assign a strong name key to an assembly, configure the application deployment property, build and deploy a BizTalk application, manage ports by using binding files, manage applications by using MSI packages, move resources and ports between applications, and manage applications by using BTSTask.
