Due to a lot of work and presentations mainly on BizTalk Innovation Day events, I still have not managed to create new articles on TechNet Wiki this year, despite having lots of ideas and ongoing projects.

Unfortunately, with the weather not inviting outdoor activities in Portugal, a lot of rain, I got some free time at home to be able to research for my several projects and also to keep me updated. However, while I was doing this research, I noticed that I was constantly looking for the same resources over and over again. As a result, I decided to create these two articles on TechNet Wiki, which, although they are not technically difficult to create, have required many hours (days) of research.

📝 One-Minute Brief

I am sharing my first major TechNet Wiki contributions for 2013: a comprehensive BizTalk Server Glossary and a Presentations Gallery. The Glossary is an extensive alphabetical list of core terms, while the Gallery curates over 100 presentations spanning from BizTalk 2000 to 2013. These community resources aim to save time for researchers, presenters, and students by centralizing years of expertise in one place.

BizTalk Server: Presentations Gallery

Often, we need to prepare presentations, whether for clients or for public speaking at a conference or event, and we end up always searching for these resources on the internet to provide inspiration, reference, or simply to reuse certain features, design, content, or animations. Or you simply like to have these resources for study or future reference.

With about 100 presentations about BizTalk Server, from version 2000 to the latest product version: BizTalk Server 2013, this article is intended to be a knowledge base of all BizTalk slide presentations that are available.

BizTalk Server: Glossary

I just finished compiling this article yesterday, and I spent all week work on it, and for me, this is beyond a doubt a proper piece of beauty. Everything common term you can think of for BizTalk you may find here, ordered alphabetically.

While researching, I also found several Glossaries on MSDN, which served as support to this article.

And of course, if you can think of another term or have a presentation that isn’t there, add it yourself. Feel free to edit, change, and add content! And I hope you will find these articles useful.

And the good thing about these two weeks of “work” is that I was awarded twice (in two weeks) as a Top Contributor in TechNet Wiki.

  • Top Contributors Awards!! BizTalk, Exchange 2013, SQL Server Express, and all about the wiki!!!
  • Top Contributor Awards, celebrating more heroes of the Wiki community (plus BizTalk, TFS, AD RMS)
Top Contributor Awards

Of course, this is not why I contribute to TechNet Wiki, but I find it funny and prestigious to see our work highlighted and referenced.

While the halls of Microsoft TechNet have finally gone quiet and the platform is no longer available, the spirit of community knowledge that built it lives on. We now look toward new horizons on Microsoft Learn to carry our expertise forward.

Thanks for Buying me a coffe
