The most anticipated email arrived once again on July 6th. I’m thrilled to share that Microsoft renewed my Microsoft Azure MVP award. Thank you, Microsoft, for this incredible recognition.
I feel honored and humbled to receive this award for the 13th consecutive year. My journey in the MVP Program began in 2011, back when I was a BizTalk MVP.
Over the years, the program has given me the opportunity to travel the world, speak at events, share knowledge, and meet some of the most talented people in our industry. I’m truly grateful for this amazing experience.

📝 One-Minute Brief
Being recognized by Microsoft is always an honor. This post celebrates my Microsoft Azure MVP award for 2023–2024 and reflects on the community, collaboration, and contributions that made this achievement possible.
Spending so many years in the program earned me the nickname “Godfather” of the Portuguese MVPs, alongside my dear friend Rodrigo Pinto (although I’m a few months older 😊).
None of this would be possible without the incredible support of my beautiful wife, Fernanda, and my amazing three kids.

Jokes apart, I want to send a huge thank-you to Cristina González Herrero for the fantastic work she does in managing the program in my region. I also want to thank Microsoft Portugal and Microsoft for empowering us to support technical communities.
My thanks also go to my coworkers and team at DevScope, all my blog readers, friends, and the Microsoft Enterprise Integration Community. And, above all, to my beautiful family — thank you for your continued support.
It is a great honor to be part of this program. I’m proud to belong to such an inspiring worldwide group of technicians and community leaders who actively share high‑quality, real‑world expertise. I’m truly looking forward to another great year.
